BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team fought hard against a fourth-year program Arizona Christian University, but fell 260.060-250.015 to the Firestorm.
UMHB opened with a 32.40 in the Compulsory event, topping with a 9.25 in Compulsory Toss. The Cru beat the Firestorm in the Acro event, outscoring ACU 26.30-25.10 with a 9.250 in 6 Element. UMHB had their best event of the night in Pyramid, scoring a pair of 9.60's in Synchronized Toss and Open Toss. UMHB opened the second half of action with a 25.75 in the Toss event and a 51.475 in Tumbling. The Cru finished with an 86.94 in Team Event, totaling 250.015 for the meet.
Arizona Christian opened with a 36.350 in Compulsory and went 61.450 in Acro and 28.950 in Pyramid to hold a five-point lead at the half. The Firestorm scored a 29.150 in Toss, 51.950 in Tumbling and 88.560 in Team Event, finishing with a 260.060.
UMHB returns to action in a 6 p.m. meet at East Texas Baptist University on Saturday, March 20
th. UMHB is currently 0-2 this season. The program earned its first win in the 2020 season at East Texas Baptist.
