Acrobatics & Tumbling sets new high mark with 262.690 score against No. 3 Hawai’i Pacific

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team set a new program-record with a 262.690 score against No. 3 Hawai'i Pacific Thursday evening in Belton. The Sharks won the meet with a total of 273.170.  
 
The meet opened with UMHB scoring a 37.40 in the Compulsory event while the Sharks scored a 37.80. UMHB followed that with a 29.10 in Acro, highlighted by Lexi Smock, Madison Holmes, Paige Smith and Alyssa Washam scoring a 9.95 in Six Element. UMHB ended the first half with a 28.750 in Pyramid, totaling 95.250 at the half.  Hawai'i Pacific scored a 29.450 in Acro and a 29.40 in Pyramid, highlighted by a 10.00 in Open Pyramid.
 
The Cru marked a 26.25 in the Toss event and a 51.600 in Tumbling with Hanan Vasquez scoring a 9.225 in the Aerial Pass. Hawai'i Pacific opened the second half with a 27.30 in Toss and a 54.350 in Tumbling. The Sharks totaled 94.87 in Team Event for a meet-total of 273.170. UMHB put up an 89.59 in Team Event, ending the meet with a 262.690.

UMHB returns to action on Tuesday, April 6th in a 6 p.m. match against East Texas Baptist University at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
