BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team suffered its first conference loss of the spring as the Cru fell to McMurry University 7-2 Saturday afternoon in Belton.
Thomas Knightstep and
Ty Marshall combined for an 8-5 win at #2 doubles and
Cody Aaron posted a three-set win at #2 singles for UMHB. The loss drops the UMHB men to 2-6 overall and 2-1 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. The War Hawks improve to 5-6 overall and 2-0 in the ASC West with the victory.
The Cru will play a pair of matches next week. UMHB host St. Thomas in a non-conference dual match on Friday before taking on Concordia Texas in an ASC West Division showdown Saturday in Austin.
