BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling team set a new program-high in a 263.440-248.625 win over East Texas Baptist University Tuesday evening in Belton.
 
UMHB opened the meet with a 36.950 in Compulsory, scoring a pair of 9.850s in Compulsory Pyramid and Compulsory Toss.  UMHB scored another 9.850 in Acro Six-Element, ending that event with a 28.950 total. The Cru recorded three scores of 9.40 or better in the Pyramid event, heading into halftime leading the Tigers 94.550 – 92.300.
 
The Tigers made up ground in the Toss event, edging UMHB 26.350-25.300. UMHB extended the lead in the Tumbling event, outscoring the Tigers 51.600-47.775. Hanan Vasquez led the Cru with a 9.300 in the Aerial pass while Caroline Rowe scored an 8.975 in Six Element. East Texas Baptist closed the meet with an 82.200 in Team Event, totaling their score at 248.625. UMHB scored a 91.900 in Team Event and ended the meet with a program-record 263.440.

UMHB ends the 2021 season at 3-3 overall and 4-4 in its two-year history. The Cru honored seniors Drew Dismukes and Lexi Smock after the meet, thanking them for their contributions to the UMHB Acrobatics & Tumbling program.
