SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor cross country teams competed at the Our Lady of the Lake University Westside Classic Saturday in San Antonio. The UMHB men ran a trio of athletes as individuals while the UMHB women finished seventh as a team.
Justin Miller was the top runner for the men, finishing 60
th with a final time of 34:48.6.
Jonathan Stirtz's 36:31.9 finished him 63
rd while
Logan Garner came in 66
th at 38:53.2.
The UMHB women totaled 170 points to finish in seventh place as a team. St. Edward's University led all runners with 34 points while Texas A&M International was second with 39 points. UT Rio Grande Valley rounded out the top three with 59 points.
Caitlyn Thrasher was UMHB's top runner, finishing 31
st with a final time of 26:48.8.
Lindsey Smith finished 36
th at 27:50.4 while
Ana Hernandez and
Katherine Ressler came in 41
st and 42
nd at 28:43.8 and 28:52.3. The Cru also finished runners
Chylar Greer,
Madison Krause,
Victoria Hernandez and
Alexi Warkentin at 51
st and 53
rd – 55
th, respectively.
UMHB returns to action on Friday, September 24
th in the Concordia University Classic in Pflugerville.
