Women’s Cross Country finishes third at Concordia Classic

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's cross country team was the top Division III finisher at the Concordia Classic Friday night in Pflugerville.
 
UMHB finished third behind the University of Texas and St. Edward's University. The Longhorns finished first with a final time of 1:47:18 and 15 points. St. Edward's came in second at 2:06:28 with 84 points while UMHB's 92 points and 2:06:54 finish placed them third. Texas Lutheran finished fourth with 114 points, St. Thomas (Houston) came in fifth with 119 points and LeTourneau finished sixth with 194 points.
 
Holly Dasher was UMHB's top performer, finish 14th with a final time of 24:27.8. Dasher placed behind 13 Longhorns, earning the top runner spot among Division II and Division III competitors. Lindsey Smith came in 20th with a final time of 24:54.6 while Caitlyn Thrasher's 25:27.7 finished her 27th. Taylor Wells came in 30th at 25:51.9, Madison Krause finished 35th at 26:12.8 and Katherine Ressler crossed in 39th at 26:30.1. Victoria Hernandez, Alexi Warkentin, Chylar Greer and Brianna Munoz also competed for the Cru.
 
UMHB returns to action on Friday, October 1st at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville.
