Acrobatics and Tumbling claims win at Home Opener

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling team claims win over East Texas Baptist University during the home opener Saturday evening in Belton.
 
UMHB opened the meet with a 36.55 in the compulsory event, scoring a 9.8 in compulsory pyramid. The Cru scored a 27.25 in the Acro event before putting up 9.450, 9.100, 9.750 in the Pyramid event and going into halftime with a 92.100. East Texas Baptist opened with a 30.25 in compulsory and scored 19.00 in Acro. The Tigers scored 20.750 in the Pyramid event and totaled 70.00 at the break.
 
The Cru came into the second half of action with a 25.550 in Toss. UMHB went 49.300 in Tumbling and ended with a 87.19 in Team Event. ETBU scored a 20.750 in Toss, 16.50 in Tumbling and 69.45 in Team Event. UMHB earned the win 254.140-195.200.
 
UMHB returns to action on Monday, March 14th in a 6:00 p.m. meet against Concordia University (Wis.) at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
