Acrobatics & Tumbling opens season at No. 1 Baylor

WACO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling team opened its 2022 season at No. 1 Baylor University Saturday evening in Waco.
 
UMHB opened the meet with a 33.25 in the compulsory event, scoring a 9.8 in compulsory pyramid. The Cru scored a 27.700 in the Acro event before putting up 9.250, 9.100, 9.850 in the Pyramid event and going into halftime with an 89.150. Baylor opened with a 38.00 in compulsory and scored 29.500 in Acro. The Bears scored 29.650 in the Pyramid event and totaled 97.150 at the break.
 
The Cru came into the second half of action with a 24.450 in Toss. UMHB went 51.775 in Tumbling and ended with a  88.930 in Team Event. Baylor scored a 28.550 in Toss, 56.400 in Tumbling and 95.830 in Team Event. Baylor earned the win 277.930-254.305.
 
UMHB returns to action on Saturday, February 12th in a 5:00 p.m. meet against East Texas Baptist at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
