Acrobatics and Tumbling Breaks Five School Records in Win Against Concordia (Wis.)

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling team claimed 259.900-248.930 win over Concordia University (Wis.) Monday evening in Belton. The Cru improved to a 2-1 record while the Falcons fell to 2-1 on the season.
 
UMHB opened the meet with a 36.6 in the compulsory event, scoring a 9.8 in two heats while setting a new school record with a 9.0 in compulsory tumbling. The Cru scored a 25.5 in the Acro event before putting up 9.7, 9.3, 9.8 in the Pyramid event and going into halftime with a 90.9. Concordia opened with a 35.6 in compulsory and scored 26.85 in Acro. The Falcons scored 26.15 in the Pyramid event and totaled 88.60 at the break.
 
The Cru came into the second half of action with a 25.45 in Toss. UMHB set a new school record in the tumbling event with a total score of 52.7 while also breaking program records in tumbling trio with an 8.65, in quad with an 8.2 and in six-element putting up a 9.275. The Cru ended with a 90.850 in Team Event. The Falcons scored a 26.35 in Toss, 44.3 in Tumbling and 89.68 in Team Event. UMHB earned the win 259.900-248.930.
 
UMHB returns to action on Thursday, March 17th in a 7:00 P.M. (PT) meet against Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA.
