ASUZA, Calif. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling team fell 276.855-255.930 to Asuza Pacific University Thursday in Asuza. The loss evened the Cru at 2-2 on the season while the Cougars improved to 5-0.
UMHB opened the meet with a trio of 9.0+ scores in compulsory. The Cru scored a 9.250 in compulsory acro, 9.600 in compulsory pyramid and a 9.650 in compulsory toss. UMHB ended the compulsory event with a 37.250 while Asuza Pacific scored a 38.400. UMHB followed that with a pair of nines in the Acro event, totaling 64.850. The first half of action closed with a trio of nines for the Cru as UMHB headed into the second half down 97.350-93.250.
The second half opened with the Toss event. UMHB scored a 24.550 while APU totaled 28.700 The Cru put up a 47.740 in Tumbling and a 90.380 in Team Event while Azusa Pacific scored a 53.425 in Tumbling and a 97.380 in Team Event.
UMHB returns to action on Friday, March 25
th in a 6 p.m. meet against Baylor University at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
