BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor completed a three-game sweep of Concordia University Texas Saturday afternoon in Austin. The Cru improved to 22-9 on the season and 15-6 in league play with the win. The Tornados fell to 11-17 overall and 8-13 in ASC action.
Kennedy Kalka and
Jessica Miller scored on a pair of bases-loaded walks to give the Cru a two-run lead in the third inning. Concordia Texas responded in the fifth inning off an RBI double from Ellie Congalton, cutting the lead to one. UMHB scored a trio of insurance runs in the top of the seventh.

Taylor Holman reached on an RBI single from
Blakely Niles.
Elisabeth Paul was the final Crusader to score, coming home on a sacrifice fly from
Elissa Elliott. UMHB's defense forced a three-and-out in the bottom of that frame, sealing the 5-1 win.
Harris and
Tatum Stover led the Cru with two hits each while four Crusaders combined for RBI and five different Crusaders scored runs.
Bayleigh Grogan earned the win for the Cru, throwing six innings with five hits and one run allowed.
Emilee Wade also threw for the Cru, putting in one inning of work with one hit allowed.
UMHB returns to action in a Thursday-Friday series next week against LeTourneau. The series opens with a 6 p.m. single game on Thursday, April 14
th and concludes Friday with a noon doubleheader.
