BELTON, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team earned a 17-point win at East Texas Baptist Wednesday evening in Marshall. The win improved the Cru to 2-0 on the season while the Tigers moved to 1-1.

UMHB opened the meet with a trio of nines in the Compulsory event, jumping ahead 36.00-31.050 after the first event. The Cru followed that with a 26.750 in Acro, highlighted by a 9.500 in Seven Element. UMHB capped the first half with a 29.300 in Pyramid, led by a 9.850 in Synchronized Pyramid. East Texas Baptist scored a 24.500 in Acro and a 28.150 in Pyramid. UMHB outscored the Tigers in seven of the 10 first-half heats.

The Cru opened the second half with a 9.350 in 450 Salto Toss, scoring 26.500 in that event. UMHB's 8.950 in Open Toss also set a new program record. The Cru followed that with a 48.550 in Tumbling, led by
Hanan Vasquez's 9.000 in the Seven Element Pass. UMHB concluded the meet with an 82.500 in Team to close the meet with a final score of 249.600. East Texas Baptist scored a 23.550 in Toss, followed by a 41.925 in Tumbling and an 82.830 in Team for a 232.005 final score.

th in a 6 p.m. meet against Hawai'i Pacific at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
