Acrobatics & Tumbling wins tri-meet, records first-ever perfect 10

ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team saw several firsts Tuesday night in Adrian, including the program's first-ever tri-meet and first perfect 10.0 score.

UMHB opened the meet with a 7.750 in Compulsory Acro before bouncing back for a trio of 9.0s or higher in Compulsory Pyramid, Toss and Tumbling. The Cru's 9.950 in Compulsory Pyramid also set a new program record in that heat. UMHB followed that with three more 9.0s or higher in the Acro Event, highlighted by a 9.90 in Seven Element, another program record. The Cru closed out the first half of action with a 29.550 in Pyramid, scoring the program's first-ever 10.0 in Open Pyramid. 
 
Adrian College opened the first half with a 30.55 in Compulsory, followed with a 25.05 in Acro and a 27.50 in Pyramid for an 83.10 score after the first three events. Concordia University Wisconsin scored a 31.700 in Compulsory, 24.35 in Acro and 27.90 in Pyramid for an 83.95 at halftime.
 
The Cru opened the second half of action with a 26.500 in Toss with a new high at 8.900 in Synchronized Toss. Hanan Vasquez and Jenna Hall opened the Tumbling event with an 8.900 in Duo Pass and scored 9.0's in Aerial Pass, Six Element Pass and Open Pass for a 53.450 event total. The Cru closed out the meet with a 92.280 in Team Event to take the win.
 
Adrian College finished the meet with a 224.085 while Concordia University Wisconsin ended with a 237.530.
 
Morgan Webb, Skylar Foster, Katelyn Kolodziejczyk, Sarah Williamson, McKayla Pack and Mya Mannka were the student-athletes on the mat for UMHB's 10.0. UMHB set new program records in Compulsory Pyramid (9.950), Acro (29.150), Open Pyramid (10.000), Synchronized Toss (8.900), Duo Pass (8.900), Six Element Pass (9.625) and Tumbling (53.450).
 
UMHB returns to action Thursday, March 16th in a 6 p.m. (ET) meet at Trine University in Angola, Indiana.
