BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team defeated East Texas Baptist University Saturday afternoon in Belton.
UMHB opened the meet with a 37.10 in the compulsory event, highlighted with a 9.85 in the pyramid heat. The Tigers scored a 31.35 in compulsory, with a high score of 9.65 in pyramid. The Cru recorded six consecutive scores of 9.40 or higher to score a 28.650 in Acro followed by a 28.95 in Pyramid. The Tigers totaled a 23.55 in Acro and a 26.50 in Pyramid to close out the half down 94.70-81.40.
The Cru kept the high ground through the second half scoring a 26.95 in Toss, while the Tigers recorded a 24.95. UMHB followed that with a 52.025 in Tumbling, starred by
Jenna Hall setting a new program record with a 9.375 in the Open Pass. ETBU closed the meet with a 43.95 followed by a 79.40 in team event for an overall 229.70. The Cru secured their win with an 85.03 in team event, finishing with a final score of 258.705.
UMHB returns to action in their last regular season meet April 1
st in a 4:00 p.m. contest against Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. The Cru also honored the 2023 senior class after the meet:
