TICKET PUNCHED! Softball earns at-large bid and right to host NCAA Regionals

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team continued its history-making ways Monday, earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship Tournament. The Cru also earned the right to host for the first time in program history.
 
UMHB will host Berry College, Rosemont College and the University of St. Thomas in the pod. UMHB and St. Thomas will open play on Thursday, May 18th at 2 p.m. followed by Berry and Rosemont at 4:30 p.m. The double-elimination regional will continue with a trio of games on Friday, May 19th, beginning at 12 p.m. The regional will close on Saturday, May 20th with a 12 p.m. contest and 2:30 p.m. if-needed game.
 
The Cru earned an at-large bid to the tournament off a 2023 resume that featured 32 total wins with four against regionally-ranked opponents. UMHB had a 1-1 record against St. Thomas this season and did not face either Berry or Rosemont in the regular season. This is the Cru's second appearance in the NCAA championship and first since 2008.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, students, veterans and children under 12. Children two and under are free.UMHB students will also receive free admission with their UMHB ID.
