Women’s Golf; Kiser win The Sneak Peak

ALEDO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team earned the win at The Sneak Peak Friday in Aledo. Camryn Kiser also won the individual title at the event. The tournament was shortened to one day due to inclement weather in the area.
 
UMHB opened the day with a 306 (+18) in round one and followed with a 293 (+5) in round two, finishing at 599 (+23) on the tournament. UC Santa Cruz finished second with a 614 (+38), followed by Hardin-Simmons in third at 630 (+54). LeTourneau (+59), East Texas Baptist (+67) and Howard Payne (+333) also competed in the tournament.
 
Camryn Kiser won the individual title with a 74-70=144 (E). Kiser opened the day with a 74 (+2) in the first round, carding three birdies and 10 pars. She followed with a 70 (-2) in the second round, adding five birdies and 10 birdies to her total.
 
Izzy Crow finished third with a 148 (+4). Crow shot an opening-round 77 (+5) and rebounded with a 71 (-1), totaling six birdies and 23 pars on the day. Brooke Norman finished seventh with a 155 (+11), carding an 81 (+9) in round one and rebounding with a 74 (+2) in the second 18 holes. Emma Iles and Avery Hill finished tied for 11th overall, each shooting a 158 (+14), followed by Payton Cox in 17th at +17 and Allie Ebbeler in 26th with a +28.
 
Crow, Ebbeler, Norman, Cox and Kiser led the tournament in par-3 scoring at E, while Kiser ranked second in par-4 scoring at +3. Kiser also led the field at -3 in par-5 scoring while Ebbeler carded a hole-in-one on hole four, adding the tournament's only eagle. Kiser was also the leader in birdies with eight while Crow ranked second with 23 pars.
 
UMHB returns to action next spring. The Cru won three of five tournament this fall with four top-five finishes.
