BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team closed the 2024 regular season with a 30-point win over Texas Lutheran University Saturday in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 7-1 on the season.
UMHB opened the meet with a 37.60 in Compulsory, highlighted a 9.90 Compulsory Toss, tying the program record in that event. The Cru followed that with a 28.05 in Acro, highlighted by a 9.80 in Five Element and closed the half with a 29.450 in Pyramid, led by a 9.95 in Inversion Pyramid, which also tied a program record.
TLU scored a 34.05 in Compulsory, 24.85 in Acro and 27.15 in Pyramid. UMHB led the Bulldogs 95.100-86.050 after the first half of action.
The Cru opened second-half action with a 27.05 in Toss, led by a new record in 450 Salto with a 9.750. UMHB also set a new record in the Tumbling event with a 54.650, highlighted by program records 9.05 in Duo Pass, 8.350 in Quad Pass and 9.775 in Aerial Pass. UMHB finished the meet with a 94.950 in Team event, totaling a score of 271.750.
Texas Lutheran scored a 26.10 in Toss, 45.950 in Tumbling and an 83.500 in Team Event to finish at 241.600.
UMHB returns to action in the NCATA Division III Tournament April 11
th – 13
