TEMPLE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf teams finished tied for third at the UMHB Invitational Tuesday in Temple.
Luke Lohman shot a 70 (E) in the second round of play, finishing at 143 (+3) on the tournament.
Evan Acevedo also carded a 70 (E) on day two, finishing at 151 (+11) overall.
Cole MacMillan shot a 71 (+1) in his Tuesday round, finishing at 148 (+8) overall followed by
Grant Carter with a second-round 72 (+2) to finish at 146 (+6). Juan Andres Magallanes carded a 70 (+2) in the second round, ending his debut at 154 (+14) followed by
Liam Odell with a 73 (+3), ending with a tournament-total 144 (+4).
Jack Workman (+7) and
Kyle Wandel (+8) both shot 74 (+4) on Tuesday, followed by
Camdan Indelicato (+6) and
Trey Archer (+15), both with 75 (+5)s.
William Mullin (+11) shot a final-round 76 (+6) with
Ian Clough (+12) just behind him with a 78 (+8) and
Kason Wolfe (+16) finishing with a second-round 80 (+10). Lohman and Odell both finished in the top 10 while Indelicato, Carter, Workman, Wandel and MacMillan were all top-20 placements.
Gettysburg College led the team competition with a 546 (-14) to earn the tournament win. McMurry finished second shooting a 577 (+17) followed by Centenary, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Mary Hardin-Baylor B, all with a 582 (+22). UMHB A shot a second-round 283 (+3) to move up two spots. East Texas Baptist carded a 6-1 (+41) to place sixth while Howard Payne A (+44), Belhaven (+54) and Howard Payne B (+82) also competed.
