Cross Country competes at the Watson Collegiate

CLINTON, Miss. – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's cross country competed at the Watson Collegiate meet Friday morning in Mississippi.

Jeremiah Calderon was the leading Crusader finishing the 800m race in 49th place individually, tabbing a time of 26:37.57. Joshua Young followed with a personal record of 28:08.05 and placing 98th. Jesus Garcia ran a 28:59.33 ahead of Ryan Anderson who finished with a time of 29:55.63. Angel Calderon (30:57.43) and Luke Saenz (31:49.69) also ran for the Cru.

UMHB finished 17th out of 24 teams, earning 455 points. Mississippi College took home first place with 63 points.

Drea Gibson led the women's team placing 60th with a time of 25:23.85. Tate O'Neal (26:03.85) and Cruz Avila (26:09.81) followed placing 77th and 79th, respectively. Amiya Crosslin (27:06.07) also competed for UMHB.  

UMHB returns to action in Abilene for the American Southwest Conference Championship on November 1st.
