Mary Haridin-Baylor Athletics

BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor junior Izeal Jones has been named American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 5^th.
 
Jones, a native of Houston, totaled 13 tackles last week against the Tigers. He had five solo takedowns with eight assisted tackles and one tackle for loss. Jones and the Cru defense limited ETBU to just 123 yards on the ground and 3.4 yards per carry.
 
Kyle Brown (Hardin-Simmons) was named Offensive Player of the Week while Pedro Altamirano (HSU) earned the Special Teams award.
