Men’s Golf wins Linda Lowery Invitational

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf team won the Linda Lowery Invitational by three strokes Tuesday in Round Rock. 

Will Mullin was the top Crusader finishing 6th at +1. Mullin shot 73-72 = 145 (+1) and carded five birdies for the tournament. Evan Acevedo followed right behind, placing tied for 7th shooting 69-77=146 (+2) and carding seven birdies for the tournament. 

Cole MacMillan tied for 11th shooting 72-76=148 (+4). Trey Archer tied for 13th shooting 72-77=149 (+5). Jack Workman tied for 23rd shooting 77-75=152 (+8). The field included 58 golfers from nine different schools with UMHB finishing at the top in par-3 scoring and par-4 scoring.

The finished first in the tournament, shooting 286-300=586 (+10). Texas Lutheran finished second shooting 303-286=589 (+13). Texas A&M - San Antonio came in third with a 293-301=594 (+18) while  St. Thomas (+21) and Concordia Texas (+21) rounded out the top five in a field of 10 teams. 

UMHB returns to action at the West Region Invitational at Berry Creek Golf Club in Georgetown, Texas on March 31 - April 1.
