Josie Bruder has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, released Tuesday.
Bruder, a Plano, Texas, native, holds a 3.87 grade-point average as an exercise and sport science major at UMHB. Bruder was named Second Team All-ASC. Bruder led the Cru with 279 points scored this season, averaging 12.1 points per contest. She added 96 rebounds, 79 of those defensive, with 19 total assists. Bruder also added 23 steals and 18 blocks on the season. She tallied a team-high 40 three-pointers and shot .887 from the foul line with 63 made free throws.
UMHB finished the 2024-25 season in the American Southwest Conference semifinals with an overall record of 17-9. Bruder is also a two-time Academic All-ASC selection.
