BUFFALO, New York - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team earned a win Thursday in Buffalo at the NCATA Division III Championship Tournament against Stevenson University.
The Cru started off strong with a 36.150 in Compulsory, led by a 9.700 in Pyramid. UMHB continued to bring the heat with a 28.325 in Acro, led by a 9.650 in Five Element. The Cru kept on dominating with a 29.025 in Pyramid, anchored by a 9.875 in Open. The Cru continued their dominance with a 26.900 in Toss, led by 9.500 in Open. UMHBÂ followed with a 50.800 in Tumbling, led by 9.450 in Aerial Pass.Â
Stevenson started the meet with a 20.630 in Compulsory. The Mustangs added a 22.680 in Acro, followed by a 26.200 in Pyramid. The Mustangs continued with a 19.380 in Toss and a 33.650 in Tumbling.
UMHB more than doubled Stevenson's team event total with a 84.970 compared to a 44.75. UMHB finished with a meet total score of 256.170, while the Stevenson Mustangs had a meet total of 167.275.
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor returns to action on Friday, April 11th in a semifinal match against the winner of the Trine/Adrian in Buffalo, New York.
