HEADED TO THE ‘SHIP! Acrobatics and Tumbling headed to NCATA DIII Tournament Championship with win over Trine

BUFFALO, New York – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team is headed to the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association Division III Tournament Championship for the third consecutive year.
 
The Cru earned a 50-point win over Trine to mark their spot in the title meet. UMHB opened with a 36.550 in Compulsory, led by a 9.725 in Toss. The Cru followed that with a 28.765 in Acro and a 29.150 in Pyramid. UMHB took just .850 in deductions in the pyramid event, scoring a 9.650 or higher in all three heats.
 
UMHB opened the second half with a 27.175 in Toss, led by a 9.550 in Open. The Cru followed that with a 51.050 in Tumbling and closed the meet with an 84.770 in Team Event.
 
Trine opened with a 31.00 in Compulsory, followed with a 20.350 in Acro and a 25.225 in Pyramid. The Thunder put up second-half scores of 22.300 in Toss, 42.650 in Tumbling and 65.740 in Team Event.
 
UMHB finished the meet with a 257.370 to Trine's 207.265. The Cru advances to face the winner of Texas Lutheran University and Concordia University Wisconsin in the NCATA DIII Tournament Championship on Saturday, April 12th at 9 a.m. in Buffalo.
