BUFFALO, N.Y. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team won the 2025 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association Division III Tournament Championship Saturday morning in Buffalo, defeating Texas Lutheran University for the Cru's third consecutive title.

UMHB started the championship meet in Compulsory with a 37.275 led by a 9.750 in Compulsory Toss. The Cru excelled in Acro with a 28.825 highlighted by a 9.775 in Seven Element Acro. UMHB closed the first half with a 28.600 in Pyramid, led by a 9.770 in Open Pyramid.Â

Texas Lutheran came to compete with a 33.275 in Compulsory. The Bulldogs continued with a 26.725 in Acro and showcased their skills in Pyramid with 28.875 points.Â

After the half, UMHB grew the lead with a 27.200 in Toss, led by a 9.350 in the Open heat. The Cru soared in Tumbling with a 51.425, highlighted by a 9.175 in the Aerial Pass.Â

TLU continued to fight with a 25.325 in Toss and a 45.225 in Tumbling. The Bulldogs finished strong with a Team Event total of 75.200, finishing the meet with a 234.625.

The Cru executed well in the Team event with 81.770 points, finishing the meet with a 255.095 to finalize the win.Â

UMHB finished the day with nine Event Finals wins. The Cru won the title in Five Element Acro, Six Element Acro, Seven Element Acro, Synchronized Pyramid, Open Pyramid, Open Toss, Trio Pass, Aerial Pass, and Six Element Pass.Â
Kaydi Brechler and Sarah Williamson were both named First Team All-Tournament while Natalie Podsednik received Second Team All-Tournament.Â
The Cru will await final seeds in the NCATA Championship Rankings to determine their fate of a bid to the NCATA National Championships. UMHB is currently in seventh with the top eight teams earning a spot at the championships April 24
th – 27
th in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
