Women’s Tennis places seven on All-ASC teams; Kittredge named Most Valuable Player

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team placed seven athletes on the All-American Southwest Conference teams, released Tuesday. Erin Kittredge and Daniel White also earned superlatives.  
 
Erin Kittredge, a senior from McKinney, was named Most Valuable Player, First Team No. 1 Singles and First Team No. 2 Doubles. Kittredge went 10-7 overall this season at No. 1 singles, including a 4-0 mark in conference play. She added a 9-5 mark in No. 2 Doubles action, going undefeated against conference opponents with partner Emily Higgs.
 
Lori Bryan, a junior from Allen, was named First Team No. 2 Singles. Bryan went 9-9 in singles play this season with a 3-1 mark in conference action. She tallied three shutout sets against conference opponents this year and clinched the Cru's berth in the ASC championship with a win against LeTourneau.
 
Zoe Male, a sophomore from League City, was named First Team No. 3 Singles and First Team No. 3 Doubles. Male went 8-2 in No. 3 singles this season and went undefeated in conference play. She and doubles partner Kaylee Jo Alexander also tallied a 4-3 record in doubles play with three wins in conference.
 
Jolin Ha, a sophomore from Sugarland, earned Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year, First Team No. 4 Singles and First Team No. 1 Doubles. Ha went 12-5 this season in singles, earning three wins at No. 3 Singles and going undefeated in No. 4 Singles with a 9-0 record. Ha dropped just 10 games in conference play this season, winning all four matches in straight sets. Ha and doubles partner Bailee Lane also went 8-9 this season, going 3-1 in league play.
 
Emily Higgs, a junior from San Antonio, earned First Team No. 6 Singles and First Team No. 2 Doubles. Higgs recorded eight wins in singles action this season, two at No. 5 Singles and six at No. 6 Singles. She went undefeated in ASC action. Higgs and doubles partner Erin Kittredge added a 9-5 mark in doubles play and also went undefeated in ASC action.
 
Bailee Lane, a sophomore from Lindale, earned First Team No. 1 Doubles and Second Team No. 5 Singles. Lane went 9-8 this season in singles, tallying four wins at No. 4 singles and five wins at No. 5 singles. She went 3-1 against conference opponents in singles play. Lane also joined doubles partner Ha earning eight wins at No. 1 doubles this season, including three in ASC action.
 
Kaylee Jo Alexander, a sophomore from Little River Academy, joined Male in the First Team No. 3 Doubles spot. Alexander and doubles partner Zoe Male went 4-3 in doubles play this season, earning three wins against conference opponents. Alexander played with four doubles partners this season, earning eight total wins.
 
Daniel White was named ASC Coach of the Year. White led the Cru to the ASC regular season championship this season, earning 10 total wins with a perfect 4-0 in conference play. UMHB also earned a win over UT Dallas, handing the Comets their first loss to an ASC team since 2018. The Cru also advanced to the ASC Championship this season.
 
This is the second all-conference award for Kittredge, Bryan, Male, Ha, Higgs and Lane and first for Alexander.
