Cross Country competes at Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational

HUNT, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor cross country teams competed at the Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational Saturday in Hunt.

The UMHB Men finished fifth out of eight teams, totaling 118 points. Jeremiah Calderon finished fourth overall and first among Division III runners with a 27:09.0. Joshua Young finished behind him, running a 28:31.7 to place 17th, followed by Andrew Young in 31st with a 29:44.0. Jayden Wylie's 30:10.4 placed him in 34th while Jesus Garcia finished 37th with a 30:27.7. Ryan Anderson (30:39.2), Angel Calderon (31:26.5) and Luke Saenz (31:55.9) also competed for the Cru.
 
Drea Gibson led the Cru with a 25:44.5, finishing 10th overall and sixth among Division III runners. Cruz Avila finished 25th overall with a 26:58.4, followed by Amiya Crosslin in 28th at 27:19.3.
 
UMHB returns to action in the Dallas Baptist University Old Glory Gallop October 11th in Dallas.
