Women’s Golf wins Montgomery Intercollegiate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team won the Montgomery Intercollegiate Monday, claiming the title by five strokes. 

Camryn Kiser and Julia Sosa were the top Crusaders, finished tied for second at 145 (+1). Kiser shot 71 - 74 = 145 (+1) while Sosa shot 76-69=145 (+1). Sosa shot a personal best in the second-round, carding a 69 (-3). 

Brooke Kocher tied for 11th shooting a 74-79=153 (+9). Emma Iles tied for 19th shooting an 81-79=160 (+16) while Brooke Norman tied for 19th with a 79-81=160 (+16). Katie Rhude also competed for the Cru, tying for 23rd with an 83-79=162 (+18). 

The Cru shot 302-301=603 (+27) to win the tournament. Washington and Lee followed shooting 306-302=608 (+32), followed by Huntingdon in third with a 304-311=615 (+39). 

The Cru returns to action at their home tournament in Kingsland at the Legends Golf Club.
