WHITNEY, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's men's golf team won the Texas Tri-Match Tuesday in Whitney, taking the victory by 16 strokes.
Cole MacMillan was the top Crusader, winning the tournament as an individual. MacMillan shot a 70-70-68=208. He finished -8 for the tournament, carding 18 birdies throughout three rounds.
Evan Acevedo followed, placing tied for fourth with a 75-71-69=215. Acevedo was -1 for the tournament, carding nine birdies throughout three rounds.
Carter Demske also tied for fourth shooting 72-71-72 = 215, finishing at -1 with eight birdies and an eagle.
Lucas Latimer placed eighth shooting 72-75-71=218 (+2).
Colton O'Dell tied for thirteenth shooting 75-76-71=222 (+6). UMHB's B team shot 301-297-303=901 (+37).
Cade Barone tied for ninth shooting 75-72-72=219 (+3). Will Mullin placed 15th with a 72-74-78=224 (+8).
Jack Workman tied for 16th shooting 73-78-75 = 226 (+10) with
Jack Burgen (+21) and
Liam Odell (+24) also competing for the Cru.
UMHB shot a 289-287-279=855 (-9). Southwestern finished second with a 294-292-285=871(+7). Trinity placed third, shooting a 295-287-291=873 (+11) followed by UMHB B (+37) and Southwestern B (+61).
