WACO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team scored a 250.610 in a Sunday afternoon meet at Baylor University (DI) in Waco.
UMHB opened the meet with a 33.050 in Compulsory, highlighted by a 9.750 in Compulsory Toss. The Cru followed that with a 28.050 in Acro, beating the Bears in Seven Element with a 9.900. UMHB closed the first half with a 29.100 in Pyramid, scoring a 9.900 in Open.
Baylor opened with a 38.150 in Compulsory, scoring a 9.0 or higher in all four heats. The Bears scored a 28.300 in Acro, opening the event with a 10.00 in Five Element and closing the first half with a 29.800 in Pyramid.
UMHB opened the second half with a 27.800 in Toss, scoring a 9.750 in Open Toss. The Bears answered with a 29.300 in the event, scoring their second perfect 10 in Open. Baylor outscored the Cru 57.800-49.400 in Tumbling and closed the meet with a 97.700 in Team Event for a final of 281.050. UMHB ended the meet with an 83.210 in Team Event, scoring a 250.610.
The Cru returns to action on Sunday, March 1
st in a 3 p.m. contest against Texas Lutheran University at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
