BELTON, Texas — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team earned a 248.705-105.625 win over Texas Lutheran University Sunday afternoon in Belton.
UMHB opened the meet with a 35.200 in Compulsory, highlighted by a 9.700 in Toss. The Cru followed with a 28.400 Acro total, scoring an event-high 9.900 in Seven Element. UMHB rounded out the first half of action with 28.700 in Pyramid, capped with a 9.850 in the Open heat.
Texas Lutheran opened the matchup with a total of 17.800 in Compulsory, earning an event-high 7.25 in Pyramid. The Bulldogs followed with a 19.800 in Acro, and a 22.05 in the Pyramid event.
UMHB outscored TLU 27.05-20.65 in Toss to open the second half, with the Cru earning a 9.400 in Open Toss. The Cru added a score of 48.375 in Tumbling, while the Bulldogs totaled 105.625 in the event. UMHB closed the meet with an 80.98 in Team Event, sealing the 248.705 -105.625 victory.
UMHB returns to action on Sunday, March 8th in a 3:00pm contest against Augustana University (DII) at Mayborn Campus Center for Neon Night.
