Acrobatics and Tumbling falls to Gannon

Erie, PA. — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling dropped a 263.295-248.895 decision to Gannon University Wednesday evening.

UMHB opened the meet recording a 35.650 in the Compulsory event, highlighted by a 9.750 in Toss. The Cru followed tabbing a 63.650 in Acro, with an event high of 9.600 in Six Element. UMHB rounded out first-half action with a score of 28.900 in Pyramid with a pair of 9.650s in the Synchronized and Open heats, closing the first three events with a total score of 92.550.

The Golden Knights tallied a first-half score of 95.300, opening the meet with a 37.650 in Compulsory. Gannon added a 28.150 in the Acro event, followed by a 29.500 in Pyramid.

The Cru began the second half with a 27.200 in the Toss event, putting up a 9.400 in 450 Salto, while the Golden Knights scored a 28.000 in the event. UMHB followed with a 51.425 in Tumbling, adding an event-high 9.400 in Six Element. Gannon scored a 53.825, with a 9.675 in Aerial Pass. The Golden Knights sealed the win, earning an 86.170 in the Team Event, while the Cru added a 77.720.

UMHB returns to action in Buffalo, New York, in a 5:00pm (CT)/6:00pm (ET) tri-meet against Buffalo State and Canisius University (DI).
