BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor tennis swept the American Southwest Conference weekly awards for the week ending March 30
th.
Kell Castleberry, a sophomore from Vernon, was named ASC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Castleberry clinched the doubles point for the Cru with a 7-6 (7-5) win at No. 2 Doubles. He added a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles, clinching the 4-3 win for the Cru.
Emma Nordin, a freshman from Klein, went 2-0 this week with a 6-1 win against Hardin-Simmons at No. 2 Doubles and a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 Singles. Nordin's wins helped the Cru to a 6-1 win over the Cowgirls.
UMHB returns to action on Friday, April 3
rd in a 3 p.m. match against Berry College at Yvonne Li Tennis Center in Belton.
