MARSHALL, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team rolled past Buffalo State University in an opening-day win at the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association DIII Tournament. The win advances the Cru to the championship meet.
UMHB opened the meet with a 36.100 in Compulsory, highlighted by a 9.875 in Compulsory Pyramid. The Cru tallied a 27.600 in Acro with an event-high 9.550 in Five Element and closed the first half with a 28.825 in the Pyramid event. Buffalo State opened with a 27.300 in Compulsory, following with an Acro score of 24.800 and a Pyramid score of 26.050, giving the Cru a 92.525-78.150 lead at the break.
UMHB opened the second half with a 27.625 in Toss, scoring a 9.500 in 450 Salto. The Cru added a 51.225 in Tumbling and closed the meet with an 84.060 in Team for a final score of 255.435. Buffalo State scored a 24.400 in Toss and a 39.250 in Tumbling, adding a 70.910 in Team for a 212.710 final score.
The Cru returns to action in the 2026 NCATA DIII Tournament Championship on Saturday, April 11
th.
