"While the finish wasn't exactly what we had planned this week, I don't want it to take away from the accomplishments of this group," Head Coach Jordan Cox said. "These young men are among the finest that I've ever coached and their work ethic is beyond measure. They shattered records and did things that no other team in our school history has done. I know they were incredibly disappointed at the end of today, but as I told them, just allow it to whet their appetites for the future. We are so appreciative of the support and encouragement that we have from our leaders and our administration at the university. They allow us the opportunity to compete at the highest level and that's one of the reasons our program continues to trend upward. We're grateful for our athletic administration and our school administration who see the value in excellence in everything we do. I'm grateful to serve with such people at such a place and coach these young men."

UMHB's 11th place finish ties the program's finish in 2017 when the Cru shot a 1,210. The Cru's highest finish came in a 1,221 performance in 2018 when UMHB finished 10th.
