BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Baseball named three players to all-region teams, released Tuesday. Nolan Williams and Alex Hill both earned D3baseball.com All-Region awards while Cameron Talburt joined them on the American Baseball Coaches Association teams.
Nolan Williams, a senior from Salado, was named to D3Baseball.com's First Team All-Region X. He hit .376 on the season with 62 total hits, earning him a First Team All-ASC selection. Williams drove in 47 runs and scored 49. He totaled 14 home runs with 14 doubles and two triples, totaling 122 bases on the season. Williams started in 42 games, adding 11 stolen bases and 16 walks. Williams also earned ABCA Second Team honors.
Alex Hill was named to the Second Team All-Region X, along with his ASC Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-ASC accolades. Hill, a sophomore from Dallas, earned six wins on the mound this season in 70.1 innings pitched. He gave up just 31 earned runs on the year and ranked third in the conference with 82 strikeouts. Hill threw a WHIP of 1.15 with one complete game. He limited batters to a .206 average in his sophomore campaign, also earning ABCA Second Team honors.
Cameron Talburt, a senior from Tulsa, was named ABCA Third Team All-Region X. Talburt started in all 43 games for the Cru. He led the conference with 63 hits, adding 45 runs scored. Talburt slammed 19 extra-base hits, adding seven home runs with 38 RBI on the year. He also stole 23 bases and earned 24 walks. As an outfielder, Talburt totaled 123 putouts with two assists and two double plays.
This is the first D3Baseball.com All-Region X honor for both Williams and Hill. UMHB closed out its season with an overall record of 25-18, finishing 5-7 in conference play.
