WHITNEY, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf team clinched the program's 11
th American Southwest Conference title with a 68-stroke win at the 2026 ASC Championship Sunday in Whitney.
UMHB shot 287 (-1) in the final round, finishing the tournament at 853 (-11). The Cru placed six athletes on the all-tournament team with all six golfers finishing in the top six spots individually.
Cade Barone took home the individual title, shooting a 69 (-3) in the final round for a 214 (-2) on the tournament.
Colton O'Dell carded a final round of 69 (-3), finishing tied for second at 217 (+1).
Cole MacMillan tied with O'Dell for second, finishing with a 76 (+4) in the last round.
Evan Acevedo and
Lucas Latimer finished tied for fourth at 221 (+5). Acevedo shot a 73 (+1) while Latimer carded a 77 (+5) on Sunday.
Carter Demske finished sixth with a 222 (+6) after three rounds.
Hardin-Simmons finished the tournament in second with a 921 (+57), followed by Howard Payne (+92) and East Texas Baptist (+95).
The Cru led the field in par-3 scoring (+12), par-4 scoring (+24), par-5 scoring (-20), birdies (61) and pars (190). Latimer and MacMillan led in par-3 scoring (E) while Barone led in par-4s (-1) and par-5s (-6). Barone also led the field with two eagles while MacMillan tallied 12 birdies.
UMHB returns to action May 12

th at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships. The tournament will be played at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. This is the Cru's 11
th overall ASC title and fourth in the last six seasons.
