BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore
Ava Jolley was named ASC Fred Jacoby Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year.
Ava Jolley, a sophomore catcher for UMHB Softball, is known as a competitor who embraces challenges. A nursing major from Kingwood, Jolley plays multiple positions through the year and shows humility through challenges.
"Ava's positive attitude and encouragement uplifted teammates and set a powerful example for others to follow," Head Coach
Melissa Mojica said. "Ava has always shown respect to opponents, officials and coaches at all times.
Jolley is the sixth UMHB athlete to earn the Fred Jacoby Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year award and first since the 2020-21 season.
