Rebekah chose UMHB because she felt it was a great university and it allowed her to continue her softball career. Rebekah says she doesn’t have any pregame rituals, but is very superstitious. Her most memorable sports moment was her first and only base hit as a Crusader at the 2013 American Southwest Conference tournament. Rebekah’s hidden talent is dance (she was a member of the drill team in high school) and her nicknames are Bek, Bekah and Becky. Her dream vacation destination is anywhere that includes her family. If she could be a professional athlete, she’d be Derek Jeter and if Rebekah could win an Olympic gold medal, she’d choose gymnastics. Rebekah has “The Macarena” at the top of her list for walkup songs.

Rebekah is studying exercise and sport science at UMHB. She was an all-district and academic all-state softball player at West Orange Stark High School, where she was named Newcomer of the Year and District MVP twice. Rebekah is the daughter of Randy and Paula Ragsdale.
