Biography

Ariel provides a strong left-handed pitching experience and long-ball threat from the left side.

2012: Honorable Mention All-West Division … posted a 7-4 record and a team-best 1.99 ERA … Had 33 strikeouts and five complete games in 12 starts … 2011: Honorable Mention All-West Division … Went 8-5 with a 2.76 ERA … threw one-hitters against Texas Lutheran and Hardin-Simmons with a pair of shutouts against Sul Ross State … 2010: Went 1-0 with a 2.30 ERA in seven appearances as a freshman.

Ariel’s favorite professional sports team is the Denver Broncos and her favorite professional athlete is Adrian Peterson. Her career goal is to become an art teacher and softball coach. Ariel says she doesn’t miss an episode of Workaholics and Glee, but can’t believe she watches Phineas and Ferb. Ariel chose UMHB because she loved the campus and credits her parents and Coach Jerry for influencing her as a person and an athlete. Her pregame ritual is to put a new ribbon in her hair for every contest.

Ariel is studying art education at UMHB. She was a four-year softball letterwinner at Little Elm High School, where she was named the team MVP twice and also earned all-district honors all four years. Ariel is the daughter of Phil and Shelly Kemmerer.
