Chris is coming off an outstanding season that saw him earn First Team ASC All-West Division honors. He should once again claim the starting job in center field and will be one of the top offensive threats for the Cru this season. Chris was named to the West Division Preseason Players to Watch list this Spring.

2012: Started all 38 games for the Cru … Earned First-Team All-West Division honors … Swung for 46 hits, including five home runs, nine doubles and 29 RBI … Scored 33 runs and recorded 29 stolen bases. 2011: Transferred from San Jacinto Community College.

Chris’s favorite professional sports team is the Boston Red Sox and says his favorite athlete is Cru second baseman Seth Mogavero. Chris enjoys listening to Texas Country music, golfing and says most people don’t know that he can cook. His career goal is to own a business one day and his favorite movie is Billy Madison. Chris credits his step-father for having the biggest influence on him as a person and an athlete.

Chris is studying marketing at UMHB. He was a two-time all-district baseball player at Cypress Woods High School. Chris played two years of baseball at San Jacinto Community College where he was a participant in the 2011 All-Star game. Chris is the son of Bill Florack and Ed and Crystal Kohutek.
