Biography

2012: Saw playing time in 34 games … made seven starts … batted .121 with 4 hits and a double.

Dayton chose UMHB because she wanted to play softball here. Her career goal is to become a nurse practitioner. Dayton’s most memorable sports moment was her senior night in high school. Her nickname is Daytona and her dream vacation destination is Bora Bora. If Dayton could trade places with a professional athlete, she’d be an NFL player if she could win an Olympic gold medal, she’d be a gymnast. Dayton’s walk-up songs are “Dark Horse”, “Space Jam” and the Cru theme song.

Dayton is studying biology at UMHB. She was a four-time all-district softball player and also earned Newcomer of the Year honors at A&M Consolidated High School. Dayton is the daughter of Bruce and Cindy Kunz.
