Taylor is studying occupational therapy at UMHB. She was an all-district softball player at Langham Creek High School, where she also earned academic all-district honors and participated in Fred Club. Taylor also played two years of collegiate softball at Grayson Junior College and Clarendon Junior College, where she was an all-region honoree. Taylor is the daughter of Mark Hewlett and Rachel Hewlett.
