2023: Academic All-ASC selection … missed most of the season with an injury … played in nine games with four starts … totaled three hits and three runs in 12 at-bats … added one RBI and two stolen bases. 2022: Academic All-ASC selection … played in 21 games with 16 starts … hit a .274 in 62 at-bats … totaled 17 hits with two home runs and two doubles … scored 17 runs and drove in 12 more … stole two bases … added 27 putouts. 2021: Academic All-ASC Team ... played in three contests with one stolen base and two putouts. 
 
Staton is a small business and entrepreneurship major at UMHB. He played baseball at Lindale High School where he was an all-district nominee and academic all-state selection. Staton was also a member of National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is the son of Lance and Heidi Dudley.
