Mike Stawski was named Head Baseball Coach for the Cru in June of 2019. He guided the Cru to a 25-19 record in 2022, advancing to the blue bracket championship in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament. 

Stawski earned his first UMHB win in his Cru debut as the program opened his inaugural season with a 5-1 start in 2020. UMHB was 7-8 overall in an abbreviated first under under Stawski's direction after the rest of the campaign was canceled in March. He followed that with 22-17 mark in the 2021 season, guiding the Cru to its ninth appearance in the ASC Tournament after a 13-10 record in conference play. Stawski earned his 300th career win in a 12-2 victory on February 16, 2024. He guided the Cru to a 24-win season in 2024 as the Cru competed in the ASC Championship Tournament as the No. 3 seed. UMHB followed that with another 24-win season in 2025 as Stawski reached 100 wins at UMHB.

Stawski joined UMHB after turning Concordia University Chicago into a national championship contender in four seasons as the Cougars head coach. Stawski guided CUC to a 42-10 record in 2019 and the Cougars advanced to the NCAA Division III Super Regionals after spending eight weeks ranked #1 in the country in the American Baseball Coaches Association’s (ABCA) Top 25 Poll. CUC also won 24 consecutive games during the regular season. Stawski guided Concordia to back-to-back 40-win seasons and led the Cougars to a 150-51 record in his four seasons as head coach. CUC also made the first two NCAA Division III World Series appearances in program history under his direction in 2017 and 2018. The Cougars won a conference regular season title or advanced to an NCAA Regional in each of his four seasons as head coach. Stawski was a three-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year during his tenure at CUC and he was also a three-time ABCA/Diamond Midwest Regional Coach of the Year. Stawski spent two seasons as head assistant coach and pitching coach at CUC before taking over as head coach. His first collegiate head coaching job was at Spalding University, where he posted an 81-44 record in three seasons. The Golden Eagles were 32-11 in his final season as he won SLIAC Coach of the Year honors. Stawski started his coaching career with a three-year stint as head assistant coach and pitching coach at Webster University.
 
Stawski is a 2006 graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Indiana with a degree in Business Administration. He was a four-year letter winner as a pitcher and was an All-Conference and Academic All-Conference selection in three of his four seasons. Stawski earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Webster University in 2011. Stawski and his wife, Melissa, have three children, Michael, Charlie and Danni.
