Mitch Wilson

Mitch Wilson was named assistant coach for the UMHB baseball program in July 2019. He has to a pair of ASC Tournament appearances and a 54-44 overall record during his three-year tenure. 

Wilson joined the Cru after spending the 2019 season as a graduate assistant coach at Concordia University Chicago. Wilson helped guide the Cougars to a 42-10 record and the NCAA Division III Super Regionals in 2019. He graduated from CUC in 2018 with a degree in marketing and was a four-year letterman for the Cougars baseball program as a second baseman. Wilson was a D3baseball.com All-American, a two-time ABCA All-Midwest Region selection and a four-time First Team All-Conference pick during his playing career. He set school records for career hits and triples and also ranks in the school’s top four all-time in games played, at bats, doubles, walks, runs scored and RBI. Wilson added an ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove award as a senior. Wilson played for two Division III World Series qualifiers, four regional tournament qualifiers and four conference championship teams during his career. He was also voted to the D3baseball.com All-Decade Team for the 2010s.
 
Wilson played for Cru Head Coach Mike Stawski for three seasons at CUC and served on his staff after graduation. He is a native of Oswego, Illinois.
