2017: Honorable Mention All-Conference Honors… batted 2.89 with 11 RBI and he stole six bases… scored a team high of 32 runs… had 41 hits and 32 runs scored… had four doubles… recorded 85 putouts and three assists

Dakota is a finance major at UMHB. He played football and baseball at Giddings High School where he was named all-district and all-state. Dakota also earned academic all-district honors and participated in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, LEO Club and Student Council. He is the son of Dakota Best.
