Danny chose UMHB because he liked the people and good Christian environment. His career goal is to become a physical therapist for a professional sports organization. Danny’s pregame ritual is to drink a blue Gatorade and eat a Twix bar. His most memorable sports moment was his first collegiate appearance as a freshman against U.T.-Tyler. Danny’s nickname is Mule and his hidden talent is the ability to eat a large Wendy’s frostY in under one minute. His dream vacation destination is Alaska. If Danny could trade places with a professional athlete, he’d be Peyton Manning and if he could win an Olympic gold medal, he’d chose trampoline. Danny’s walk-up song is “Jump Around” by House of Pain.

Danny is studying exercise and sport science at UMHB. He was a four-year baseball letterman at Clifton High School where he earned all-state honors at two different positions and was a four-time all-district honoree. Danny is the son of Steve and Lorna Horstman.
