2020: Played in nine games ... had one hit with two runs scored ... season cut short due to COVID-19. 2019: Spring All-Academic Team … played in 25 games … recorded 14 hits on 67 at-bats … added eight runs and four RBI … stole four bases … fielded 35 put outs with two assists. 2018: Hit .209 in his first year with the Cru … led the team with seven sac bunts … totaled 18 hits with 23 runs and eight RBI … fielded .951.

Dawson is a biology major at UMHB and wants to become a surgeon. He was a four-year baseball letter winner at Conroe High School. Dawson was a three-time all-district selection, two-time all-county selection and twice earned the Mr. Hustle award. Dawson was also a member of NHS and served as Secretary for Mu Alpha Theta. Dawson is the son of John and Misty Shibley.
