Derek missed most of last season but is healthy again and looking to regain his freshman form, He started 29 games, batting .385 with 6 homers and 31 RBI and earned ASC All-West Division honors while splitting the season between catcher and DH for the Cru. Derek was an All-State baseball player at Northeast Christian Academy. He also lettered in football and track.
